CELPI was founded in 1953 as a Steel Construction
and Prefabricate Company ( I.C.M.P. ) directly subordinated to the Ministry
of Electrical Power, after a series of restructuring processes in 1990
and changed its name in S. C. CELPI S. A, after 1995 entering into a
process of privatization with capital autochthon 100%.
I.C.M.P. Bucharest was the unique manufacturer of prefabricated concrete for Electric Air Lines (LEA) at 20-110 kV and transformer stations, concrete carriers, concrete rulers until 1990. CELPI S.A. was the first company in Romania, with an activity of over 50 years, the traditional supplier of equipment for electricity power supply to industrial consumers and those in the public domain.
In this sense, CELPI SA implemented almost all the necessary equipment (poles, accessories, garments equipped) to achieve the national energy system for electricity transmission.
